Hazel represents the Association of Bahá’í
Women, Northern Ireland. She is serving
her second term of office on the Executive.
Hazel taught in Luton and Northern Ireland
before moving to Italy where she was a partner and teacher in a language school
in Sardinia for 15 years.
On her return to Northern Ireland she entered
the Civil Service and, at the time of her retirement, was a Business Services
Manager in the PSNI.
Her main interests and hobbies centre round
serving in the voluntary sector. This
includes being a member of Soroptimist International and Northern Ireland
Regional President from 2011 – 2012. She
represented SI Northern Ireland on the Department of Justice’s Engagement Group
on Human Trafficking from 2012 – 2015.
She was a member of the Board of the UK National Committee of UN Women
and Chair of the Northern Ireland Branch.
She is a member of the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland’s
Women’s Fund Committee.
